I am an Irish-born, London-based journalist who writes about feminism, current affairs, women’s health, fashion, the arts, politics and pop culture.
I have written for Vogue, The Guardian, The Independent, BuzzFeed, Elle, The Irish Times, The London Evening Standard, The Financial Times, The Pool, Refinery29, Red, Stylist and Grazia. I have appeared on BBC, LBC and NewsTalk radio, discussing the arts, celebrity, gender and current affairs. I have been interviewed and featured on several podcasts, including the Grazia Life Advice Podcast, The Guilty Feminist, The Irish Times Women’s Podcast and The Sunday Salon with Alice-Azania Jarvis.
My first book, Vagina: A Re-Education, is published by Allen & Unwin and available now.
I am an experienced panellist (The Birds Eye View Film Festival) and panel chair (The Hay Festival) and I love interviewing people – for print, for Facebook Live or video, or at real-life events.
I was a founding member of The Pool and was head of news and content at the site from 2015 to 2018. I was also on the launch team at Shortlist Media’s Never Underdressed, and I was features editor at The Gloss, a luxury fashion and culture supplement published monthly with The Irish Times.
